A family history of motorcycling across generations. Founder Greg Sim, based in Australia, grew up in a family of riders. His father, mother and older brother all ride and motorcycles quickly became a way of life. Over the years, Greg has ridden in multiple countries and owned more than thirty bikes — from timeless vintages, to modern classics and adventure machines — one frustration always remained: finding luggage that matched both the quality and character of the motorcycles he loved.
Greg set out to design luggage that combined heritage styling, uncompromising quality, and practical innovation — including a refined rack less system for modern use. Each Winston Sim product is personally tested and refined to meet the standards Greg expects on his own rides, and reflects the brand’s respect for tradition and endurance.
Greg’s dedication extends beyond craftsmanship, often joined by his riding wife and their son, for 10 years Greg was a co-host and now a volunteer of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) — a global motorcycle charity event supporting the Movember Foundation. In 2025, the event saw over 127,000 riders in 108 countries raise more than US $7.3 million for men’s mental and physical health.

Why Winston Sim?
Winston Sim was born from a desire for luggage that honor's the spirit of motorcycling - the grit, the beauty, the journey. Our founder grew up watching his father Lance "Winston" Sim ride a BSA C12 250 and Matchless G80 and his mother a Honda CT90 Postie Bike! to work rain, hail or shine, it wasn’t just transport — it was tradition. His father, mother and uncles were part of a generation that rode with purpose and pride, their gear as tough as they were.
After 32 years on the road himself, our founder saw a gap: motorcycle luggage made to last that truly suited classic, vintage, and custom bikes.
Frustrated by poor quality and soulless designs, he set out to make something better. Winston Sim is our answer - Every piece is made from hard-wearing waxed canvas, full-grain leather, and brass fittings. Built to last. Styled to suit.
The flat cap in our logo? - a homage to both DGR and Lance "Winston" Sim who is never seen without one.
